LIMITED EDITION JAGUAR XE REIMS REVEALED

SPECIAL EDITION WILL BE LIMITED TO 200 UNITS

Following the comprehensive updates made to the New XE saloon earlier this year, Jaguar has commissioned a limited run of special edition cars for UK customers, set to take New XE’s commanding on-road presence to the next level.

The XE Reims Edition, manufactured at Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich production facility elevates the sleek and compelling design synonymous with New XE, with exclusive features you won’t find on the standard model. XE Reims Edition will be the first of a series of ‘Jaguar Factory Specials’; limited production run vehicles with bespoke features and details overlaid on our current award-winning vehicle range.

XE Reims Edition customers will be able to enjoy entirely bespoke features including a black contrast roof available on XE for the very first time, as well as black mirror caps and black sill inserts underpinning the door panels for a sporting and dynamic finish.

INSPIRED BY JAGUARS RACE HISTORY

Perhaps the most distinctive feature of all is the striking French Racing Blue exterior body colour, as previously featured on the limited run XKR-S and XFR-S models. The colour makes a welcome return and will be exclusive to Reims Edition vehicles.

The racing-inspired theme continues in the vehicle’s naming, taken from the Reims-Gueux racing circuit located in the famous Champagne region in northern France.

The circuit is now out of use, but Jaguar has a rich history at Reims-Gueux where drivers Ken Wharton and Peter Whitehead secured a stunning maiden victory for the Jaguar D-Type during the 1954 12-hour endurance race. One of many motorsport accolades achieved by Jaguar, their D-Type averaged 105mph over the 1,254-mile race distance.

FULL OF TECH

Jaguar promised us more gadgets as well and certainly the F-TYPE seems to bristling with them. The toys list includes a reconfigurable, high-definition, 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display, Touch Pro infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard and software-over-the-air functionality so you can update it without having to visit the dealership. The F TYPE comes with an updated Meridian sound system as well for setting the mood with your favourite music on a blast around the country lanes.

WHAT TO EXPECT

XE Reims Edition, promises a performance inspired by its powerful and dynamic predecessors and is built on the popular 2.0-litre P250 RWD Ingenium petrol engine which offers a 0-60mph time of 6.2 seconds, with a top speed of 155mph.

Poised on 19” 5 split-spoke Gloss Black wheels, Reims Editions’ head-turning bespoke black finishes are complemented by an array of features that have been standardised. Taking the best and most popular options from XE R-Dynamic S spec, XE Reims edition customers will get Privacy Glass and the Exterior Black Pack as standard, which includes a Gloss Black Grille and Surround, with Gloss Black Side window surrounds and side vents.

As winter strikes you can rest assured that XE Reims Edition will deliver you and your passengers in comfort and style thanks to Heated Seats and the Cold Climate Pack which includes a heated windscreen, headlight powerwash and a heated steering wheel.
